Service Report

We take maintenance seriously. At FOCUS we know the importance of ensuring timely maintenance response times.

We have dedicated resources, and a Maintenance Team ready to respond to our Client’s maintenance needs. We seek to attend to every request within five working days or less for routine maintenance requests, and we have been doing this now for many years. This is a feature of our Maintenance Service.

Our Maintenance Team will report to the Client’s nominated contact person, and provide details of the remedial works, ensuring at all times to work within the constraints of the Client’s operations. Upon completion, every Client will be provided with a detailed Service Report. It will show exactly what we found at the site inspection, details of the issues discovered, the remedies applied and include images of the completed works.

We know that we are not as big as many of our peer group maintenance operators of today.

But we do know that we understand the needs of retailers, having worked in this industry since 1984.

We understand attention to detail. We understand the need for timely and responsive service.

This is EXACTLY what you can expect and what we guarantee you will receive from the FOCUS Maintenance Team.

Warranty

We warranty all our work. Generally, this is for a 12-month period following the completion of any project by FOCUS.

Your warranty will cover the works undertaken and materials used during the process of the fitout. General ‘wear and tear’ is generally not covered, but we are more than happy to attend to this under maintenance.
Warranty is something you should expect, but should never take for granted. You may be very surprised with some of the responses you get. So, always ask!

At FOCUS we are very clear about our warranty provisions, and they are fully disclosed to our Clients.

MAINTENANCE CONTRACTS

Maintenance is something that is often overlooked when a full fitout contract has been entered into. It’s a little like insurance – you know that it’s required, especially once the warranty period has expired, but would prefer not to have to think about it at all!

At FOCUS we know, through our years of industry experience, that Clients who avoid regular maintenance incur increased capital expenditure as a result. This is something that we can work with you to overcome.

Our dedicated Maintenance Team can create a maintenance contract specifically tailored to your requirements. If our Teams are working in your particular area, the maintenance inspections and responses can be scheduled during the same period of time, thereby avoiding a call out fee.

We know that you would never consider not carrying insurance, so consider the many benefits of an ongoing Maintenance Contract in exactly the same way. A Maintenance Contract with FOCUS will protect your capital investment, and keep your retail space safe and looking well cared for.

Preventative Maintenance

This is what FOCUS calls our scheduled, regular program of maintenance.

This could form a part of an ongoing Maintenance Contract, or could be considered separately.

Regular inspection, maintenance and servicing of your workspaces and equipment will ensure greater lifespan and faultless function of your investment.

REACTIVE MAINTENANCE

This is what FOCUS calls our ‘immediate response needed’ type of maintenance.

There is a misnomer that says that responding to such maintenance requests – a ‘fix it when it breaks’ type of request – is the cheapest form of maintenance. This is simply not the case, and for so many reasons may be the costliest form. At FOCUS we know, through our years of industry experience, that Clients who avoid regular maintenance, and rely solely on this reactive call for maintenance, often incur increased costs as a result.

Reactive maintenance requests for repair are inevitably URGENT, and as such they will always incur a call out fee.

They are often more complex, with resulting compounding failures that inevitably causes damage to other fittings or fixtures in the process.

A big-picture approach should be taken when considering a Maintenance Contract, as the true cost impacts of a reactive approach shouldn’t be discounted. These cost impacts include the effect on your operations if the required maintenance actually requires the closure of your business because of access or safety concerns. Business interruption, including staffing costs during periods such as these can be extremely expensive.

That said, we at FOCUS are always happy to assist you with your repairs and maintenance, regardless of the way you choose to manage it. We can make suggestions and give input on how to best prevent or reduce your maintenance costs, and include such expertise as design and product choice.
